This super sweet crochet bear is 11″ tall. You can see Zoe, Sarah’s child in the background of the pattern picture to gauge the size of this bear. It’s using Bernat Velvet yarn which lends itself beautifully to this project.

Octopus Cupcakes? I’ve never heard of that. I know Jeanne and I haven’t designed anything like that. Are you looking on the wrong website?

Is there a yarn alternative for this valentine bear?

    • Mikey

You could use Super Saver or something… just reduce your hook size.

I have made this bear three times so far. Kids love the softness and I love how quickly it comes together. Great pattern!

I saw Repeat Crafter Me’s bear pattern when it was released but I saw she did one 3x the size too! However I don’t understand how she made it 3x bigger using the same pattern. Can you pls explain? Thanks.

Bigger bears are done using this pattern with a larger hook and two or more strands of yarn at the same time. Hope that helps. ?

Use thicker yarn and bigger needle, it will come out bigger!
