Fall 2025 rings in a new technique for Mikey from The Crochet Crowd. It's the Warped Tunisian Online Workshop.
Entrelac Tunisian is a fun concept, and we have done examples of it in the past, but the warped version makes it even more addictive and fun to complete. In the past, the boxes have always been the same size on both the x and y axes. This concept turns that on its head and can really be stunning in the final presentation.

14 Pages of Workshop Downloads + 19 Tutorials. 2 Real Patterns to Try!
Online Workshop
My new workshop is an online course, and you can go through it at your own speed. In the same workshop, you will find right- and left-handed tutorials in the order in which I think you should learn. The course has downloadables used in the workshop and a graph for a baby blanket-sized project to test your skills.
There are 19 tutorials in all to follow, including the basics of Tunisian. The tutorials then go further to explain how to count the rows, loops on the hook, and much more. While on paper, this looks tough, once you get it, you get it.
There is a dishcloth-sized sample to practice with, with tutorials for each step.
A lot of work has gone into developing this online workshop. Once you see other patterns like this, especially with designers who don't show you exactly how they are done, the world is your oyster when it comes to picking up other designs like this and completing them.
Background
Martin Up North excels in this concept, and based on research, though his patterns deserve to go viral, others have also used this technique. Male crocheters tend to get more attention, as it's unusual to see a male crocheter and designer.
That's the great thing about crochet: there's always something to learn. The online workshop above is much more comprehensive and intended to decipher the warped entrelac version.
You can try the Tunisian Baby Blanket below, Tunisian Entrelac in Rows. A free tutorial is also available for this.
