The Crochet Scandinavian Snowflake Throw is possibly the afghan of the year for 2022. In a recent discussion with Yarnspirations, we were talking about timeless crochet throws and gift ideas for the home holiday decor.
We were talking about potentially filming this up but I need to create additional support to make this happen for a tutorial. So I am questioning my interest level because what needs to be created for me is extensive work and I am happy to do it.
In this throw, there are 2 different types of snowflakes that puzzle together with lace joins that I believe needs to be crochet diagramed out to see where the stitches go.

Crochet Scandinavian Snowflake Afghan
I was inspired by the Tim Hortons Scandinavian Cups for 2016. I looked at Yarnspirations for existing snowflakes. I found the Assorted Lily Snowflakes and wondered if I can convert one of them into a motif. With finding Snowflake A, I was able to figure out the mathematics to do this Scandinavian Inspired Snowflake Afghan was designed.
I did this afghan in the Caribbean on a cruise ship. It was a great passer time in between fun moments.

Mikey, I struggle with patterns that only have written instructions. I love your diagrams, I find them easy and intuitive to follow. Please create diagrams for this pattern too.

I think that it would be so fabulous if you created diagrams and do one of your amazing tutorials. I found this pattern many years ago and thought it was so pretty. I made the snowflakes about 2 years ago but then became totally stumped when I read the joining instructions. I was saying to myself..."I wish Mikey could explain this to me". Mikey, I have so loved crocheting along with you on your afghan. I made two and then made a smaller one to top my kitchen table. With my two stacks of snowflakes just sitting there being just stacks and not an afghan, I tried to figure out how else I could but them together (since I couldn't understand those written instructions). It came to me...maybe I could put them together like you put your motifs together, in your afghan..... with the chains that attach. That is what I ended up doing (this winter). And I was so happy to get it put together and it looks great. But, would love to understand the original pattern and I know it would be an afghan that many would enjoy. Thank you for all your great tutorials!!!!?

Not interested. To lacy for me. Looks beautiful, no doubt, just not what I would want for a winter/snowflake blanket. I like Mikey's version better.

I would absolutely love to make this Afghan, but feel I would definitely need a chart as well as an instructional video so I can see your stitching and I always appreciate your tip and tricks that you impart with each of your videos.
