I just picked up a Cake in Gelato and am itching to use it for the Pineapple Peacock shawl. However, the directions state 2 balls of their preferred yarn is required, totaling over 600yds. Can anyone tell me if I will need to grab another Cake? I don't want to start on it and end up unable to finish or unable to find another Cake that starts in the right color...
Thanks!

Just bought my first Caron cake. Can't wait to figure out how I'm going to use it. Love Jeanne's rug in the turquoise and grey but I think mine will be a scarf or cowl. It will be fun looking at everyone's ideas. Thanks to everyone at The Crochet Crowd.

I've been crocheting for quite a few years but mostly just dabbled until last year. I usually go on hiatus in the warmer weather but I saw these cakes and just had to have some (bought 1 cake each in faerie, red velvet, and blueberry cheesecake). I stick to mostly smaller items (hats, scarves, clutches) but I saw these cakes as the perfect chance to make a c2c. But I've never made one before so just curious if anyone has any idea the sizing of a c2c with a single cake? Maybe I need to go back to Michaels and pick up a second of my color of choice
