Caron Cakes and Bernat POP are two fun yarns to make striped Christmas Stockings. You can get the free pattern for the Crochet Christmas Stockings.
I know what you are thinking, why would you do this when you can just buy solid colour balls and do the same thing. The quick answer is, because the colours are decided for you.
Yarnspirations spends a great deal of time in market research, consumer panels and debates in virtually every colour in their product lines. The colours aren’t just quickly thought of. They are tested, narrowed down and then the colour line is decided.
Caron Cakes and Bernat POP! have the colours put together in 1 ball that are colour trending by experts. While you may not enjoy every colour, that’s the beauty of these cakes, there’s usually color palettes that can suit most people.
In the picture is Bernat POP! Christmas Edition that was only in Walmart Canada. Sorry, it was exclusive and cannot be ordered online. I decided to try this ball to see what I could come up with. However, there are many other colours in the Caron Cakes and Bernat POP! that would be just as neat as a stocking.
The tutorial will share with you how I planned the stocking. Remember, this was using Bernat POP!, so I believe the cuff, if using Caron Cakes could have been crocheted by the same ball. As you learn, I used another solid colour from another brand.
