Crochet To The Peak Hat

Introducing the To The Peak Hat by Yarnspirations. This is the sister of the extremely popular Top Peak Cap featuring in 2015.

There was a demand to have the Top Peak Cap changed in the top to not be a flat top. You can see it in the model wearing the hat. Some crocheters preferred it to be rounded off instead of flat. The designers of Yarnspirations altered the pattern to suit the wishes of the crocheters.

Stitchwork of the pattern texture and lines are similar are on each but this version takes a quicker approach to take the shape of the head without the top of the hat flattening off. This hat is rich with texture with the help of Front Post Double Crochets.

The pattern is generally easy. You just have to watch your stitch counts in the beginning as the lines are established at the top of that hat. It's not hard, but just for the first few rounds, you need to pay attention.

    I just came across this pattern and loved it! I decided to make it, and it went pretty smoothly. However, I measured it to 8 inches but I think it's too long. The brim doesn't point out and covers your eyes so you have to fold it up to see. Looking at the video, mine has more rows of the pattern, but still measued 8 inches. Can you look at my photo and provide any input? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!

    Great looking hat! Is there a pattern for one without the brim? I love the ribbing, but need more of a beanie, or stocking hat

      Ann, To modify this hat without the brim... check for sizing at the 12 and 13th rounds before doing the band.Then do not add the brim. _LJ
