Garter Stitch with Bernat Alize Blanket EZ Yarn

Yep, you can do the Garter Stitch with Bernat Alize Blanket EZ yarn. You may have been seeing always pulling the yarn from the back and going forward which creates the knit stitch and if you keep going from the back to the front, you make the stockinette stitch.

With the working strand in front of the stitches, you push them from the front to back for the garter stitch. Then in the next row, from back to front to create the look. If you see the photo and see the dotted lines going across, that’s the garter stitch as you see in the blanket. There is a specific pattern to do the garter stitch mixed with the stockinette stitch with the blanket.

It’s super easy to do, even for beginners.

Mikey, aka Michael Sellick, of The Crochet Crowd, started this online journey back in 2008. A mere hobby in trying to reach out to others as he was mentally struggling with his own issues. His goal was simple, find others in the yarn communities, like him, that have a common interest.

The journey and main baby of the whole idea started with a YouTube Channel and then in 2011, an official website was developed. Michael is not only the face of The Crochet Crowd but also the working engine behind the crowd in self-taught programming, social media and so much more.

Enjoy the stitching journey. Life is short, enjoy this wonderful hobby and all of the learning opportunities that come with it.
