I need help. My Caron Simply Soft Harvest Red bled when I washed it in cold water. My red, white and blue crocheted afghan is now red, pink and blue. What is the best way to fix it? I washed it in cold water and after I saw what had happened I let it air dry. I almost cried.

I’m not sure that after a yarn has bleed there is anything to do. Try contacting customer service at Yarnspirations and maybe they will have some suggestions.

Hoping to make it to the tent sale next week on the Saturday but wondering what kind of time commitment is involved between waiting on line and going through the tent. Any estimate? I have no problem waiting but will have my mom with me.

So I am relatively new to this. I am working on the mystery afghan. So great to have videos with the stitches shown so clearly. I learned a bit when I was a child. Starting again as a “middle-aged” woman is different. One of those times I am grateful for technology. So now my question. I want to work on projects that I can gift to help people that are in need. So how do I go about figuring out what types of yarn to stock up on? I am enjoying the mystery afghan but most of my work will be less complicated so I can produce more. Any thoughts?

Teri, for making things as donations I like to stick with Caron Simply Soft. It’s acrylic so there’s less chance of irritation (as a wool might cause) AND it’s machine washable. Plus, lovely to work with. check it out.

There are hotels in there… We couldn’t get a hotel right in Little Washington as they were almost all booked solid. We are staying in Greenville ourselves.

The flyer will be out a couple weeks before it opens. YOu can make a judgement call then. The prices really are stunning! It’s below wholesale as they are serious about clearing yarn!

4 hours and 8 minutes or 271 miles from Charlotte NC to Washington NC. I live in Winnabow NC and it is 2 hours and 38 minutes or 143 miles… both distances are well worth the drive to this fantastic event…. I am certainly going this year for sure!!!

Four hours or 271 miles, it’ll be worth it! I’m driving from Wilmington, and it was definitely worth it last year..
