Made as a set, the adult and matching baby poncho are fresh for Spring 2022. Titled as Spring Mom and Me Ponchos. Using Red Heart Super Saver Ombre yarn for the smooth transition of colouring to give it the highlighting, these ponchos are an easy 2 round repeat.

Both ponchos are the same stitch work but with different starting chain to change the size.

Whether you wear one just as an adult or just make one for a baby, together, they make a cute set.

The poncho is set for fashion length for the adult version of 17" long from the neckline down the front. Regular ponchos or longer can extend down up to 24" or more. In this case, if you do the fashion length it only needs 1 ball of Super Saver Ombre in purple. If you want it longer,  you will need to buy more yarn. I had enough yarn left over to trim the baby collar and vice versa for the adult version.

How many would you chain for a 7 year old child?

A different pattern would have to be created for that size. It's difficult to do age as some children in today's era are not typical. It's better for measurements versus age.

A video would be great. I have started over multiple times and it comes out very awkward. It would be so appreciated.

You are right about this pattern. I filmed it on Friday and the counts are off. It's not you. I recorded the changes and I am updating the pattern today. Also, I have filmed this so it will be out in a few weeks. Thank you for the heads up.

I don't know that answer as I haven't done a test and research on it. I'm sorry. I honestly don't know without spending a couple days on the testing swatches for it.

Do you know the multiple for the pattern?

Thanks! Love all the free patterns!

I didn't do that for this design. I based on final neck sizes. I'm sorry.

Do you know the stitch count for the pattern? I could probably figure it out between the two patterns and my granddaughter's measurements if I knew what I needed for the pattern repeat.

        Thanks,
        Chris

I put the stitch counts for each size on the pattern. I'm unsure I understand your question.
