Crochet Colour Pop Basket Pattern + Tutorial

These cute Color Pop Basket Bowls are fantastic. I don't make too many projects that I keep, as I tend to give my stuff away. Once I finished the tutorial, I was proud of my basket/bowl. It is shaped beautifully, and I can use it as decor. These are using Bernat Maker yarn. Very easy and sturdy baskets.

It looks great, and I know I can get Diva Dan to style it up with some decor or even practical use of this basket.

There are two bowls in one. The colour you see inside is the same pattern and nested together. This helps make the basket stronger and keeps it shaped so much better.

You can put a pillow in for an animal bed...I've even seen these made up like baby cradles with a half top on them and a cushion inside with handles for carrying.

Hope you see this soon...I'm new to crochet, have the concept down and have practiced making a similar basket and now am attempting this one above in your video. Using the same yarn and hook size. Maybe my tension is too tight being new to this and all...my circle has begun to ripple. I have the correct number of stitches, counting each stitch in each finished round and being sure I go step by step. Should I be using a larger hook? Maybe go up to an H??? I hate that I probably will need to begin once again but I want this to be right. I'm a bit neurotic about having things look right. So any words of wisdom would help. A bit of trouble shooting messages within the video would have been helpful to those of us who are new to this. Thanks so much and your video was extremely helpful to me in figuring out the join and that first set of sc.

I'm either doing something wrong of I need to use a larger hook. My whole base is buckled and doesn't even come close to laying flat. I have started my sides and done 5 rows of that and I think it is getting even worse.
I do typically crochet on the tight side, but I figured since we want this tight and firm I would use the recommended G hook.
      What should I do?

I think this would make a cute cat bed. Make it bigger around and maybe a little taller.

I want to use it as a cat bed too. How big can you go with one skein?
