This book is so good, my copy is going to have sticky pages! Yes, that good. Whimsical Stitches by Lauren Espy. I thought huffing the yarn fumes at the store made me giddy, this book finishes those long slow walks down the yarn aisle nicely.
Lauren has me at ladyfinger cactus to accompany the prickly pear and barrel cactus in a never to kill arrangement. I mean, does it get any better than that.
Slowly turning the pages with a wish list of more patterns to make has me all jittery. The flowering sunflower and daises in a pot! It's a ray of sunshine, especially in the time of Covid-19. Everyone, including me, could use a smile to break away from the crap going on right now.
Don't you dare look at those bakery items. I mean, I wasn't planning on ordering out today but OOPSY... I am now! The temping cherry pie, donuts, cookies and more!
The book has an assortment of ideas that range from simplistic to a bit more detail. I need to make the cactus bowl for my desk! Like STAT! Maybe, even sunflower to chase away my troubles.
Really great book! Truly.

I just bought my copy and I am loving it already. It explains things easily and in a way I understand. Bonus was Joann's had a sale on books. Yea.
