This gorgeous raised flower is part of the Field of Dreams afghan. Its large flowers make for incredible statements, leaving endless opportunities for the exploration of colours. This is the Crochet Field of Dreams Baby Blanket.

There is a strong demand for granny squares like this as it's a bit traditional but many people love to play with the idea of freshening up the colours with modern and trending colours of today. Don't be scared to try different combinations.

Using a Size H or 5mm Hook with Red Heart Super Saver or Red Heart With Love, you can create these wonderful squares.

    Tip

The first square will take you the longest to do the figuring out. Once you get one done, the others fall in line easier as you get the pattern and where the stitches need to go. Just give it a chance.

If you would like to explore this pattern, it is called Field of Dreams. Give it a try!

As always, here on The Crochet Crowd, I welcome your feedback. What did you think of this pattern? Is it new to you? Would you like to see more like it? Leave me a comment below so I can find it.

Thank you for this fabulous pattern with a great tutorial video. I am very new to crochet, but am loving having the videos to learn from rather than just trying to decifier a written pattern (which I have found I can not do!). As a visual learner can I please make one request? Could you hold up the project (perhaps at the end of each row) so that I (we) can see if what I have done is the same as what you have done. Sometimes it's a bit tricky to know if I have put the stitch where it was meant to go, but if I could see it I would know for sure!
Other than that - thank you for what you do, I am definitely now a devoted follower!

I will try to adjust in the future... The filming studio is a really tight spot... I have to lean over the camera for the shot and it's really hard on the back.
