    Crochet Blended Love Blanket

This Blended Love Blanket is crocheted by using 2 shades of your favorite color, to "blend" them together using some interesting textured stitches.

I chose Red Heart Ombré in Deep Teal and Anemone to create this generous afghan that is big enough for 2 to snuggle under together.  Think about upcoming weddings.  Perfect to pick the happy couple's favorite colors to crochet this gift blanket.

This finished project is 52" x 74", but you can resize using the multiples of 16 + 18.

You can use any solids or self-striping yarn too to give it your own look to match any decor.

I don’t have access to the smaller 4.5mm hook. Would I be better off going smaller with the 4 or up to the 5? I understand gauge maybe affected, I’m just hoping to have the bobbles blend correctly with the rest of pattern.

I'll check with Jeanne. I don't know off the top of my head. I don't know what the tension is between the two stitches.

It’s been quite a while since I made this one. Are you loose or tight? Try the 4 and keep it loose or 5 and keep it tight. Or maybe switch altogether to the 4 and 5. Experiment a bit and see how it goes.

I want to make the blended love blanket. I'm a seasoned crocheter. I'm stuck on row 2!!! Can you explain it in simple language.? I'm probably over thinking this. Thanks so much. Hopefully I will have an ah ha moment.

Hi Lois. What part are you struggling with? You are creating a chevron. Can you please be more specific? Don't overthink it. Trust what you are reading and just take it one stitch at a time. ~ Jeanne

On row 2, at the first * I skip a SC, then I SC, DC in the SC. Now, do I go on to skip sc, SC, dc, SC ,DC in the next sc. Now do I go back to the first * ?? The first * will be done 6 times, and the ** will be done 11 times. I've made 3 hugs and kisses blankets and can't get this one. Hope I explained this right.

I love this blanket, worked my way through rows 1 and 2 but am having trouble with row 3. I’m not really sure what stitches are being repeated 11 times! Would greatly appreciate your help!
