Magic Baby Blanket
I crocheted this baby blanket in one day. It's a great crochet project for a last-minute gift idea too. I was inspired by a crochet afghan I found on Ravelry called Sea Glass Afghan, but changed it to baby size with the bulky weight self-striping yarn.
Any bulky yarn would be work. You can alternate colours to match any decor.

I can't figure out this DC foundation chain. Can I just do a normal chain and then DC across? How many would I have to chain?
Jeanne - The Crochet Crowd says
You can chain and dc if you prefer. Chain the same number and add 2 for the beginning dc.

I love your input, Jeanne. I am trying to start Eight Shade Ripple afghan. It should be easy but I am having a horrible time. It is a design I saw on the yarn label of one of my Bernat skeins from the Stitch Stop and Roll pattern. I feel so dumb.
