Crochet Modern Granny Winter Scarf
This Crochet Modern Granny Winter Scarf hooks up super quick and the pattern design is perfect for the long color changes of Caron Cakes yarn. I used regular Cakes, just a bit over one Cake. My winter scarf weighs 9.7 oz, so I think it would work out great with using just one Caron Big Cake ball of yarn.
Of course, you can use your preferred worsted weight yarn. There are so many color options you can choose for this scarf. Think about school colors and favorite sports teams when planning your colors!

This scarf is beautiful, I hope it turns out nicely. I'm also having a bit of difficulty understanding the pattern. When there's a ch 3 dc, I'm not sure if the 3 belongs with the ch or the dc. The "in sp, in next ch-3 sp (3 dc, ch, 3 dc)" is very confusing to me. I've been able to get by from looking at the pictures and comparing.

I love the scarf, however, mine is rippled. as I find others are having the same problem. I found the instructions confusing, but I think I have them figured out. I am so glad that I took the time to read all the comments. They have been very helpful to me. I just wish there was a way I could post a picture of my WIP scarf.

I'm sorry that you found the directions confusing, but glad you have it figured out. Have you joined our Stitch Social group? Lots of sharing of WIPs on that group. 🙂

I was looking for a scarf pattern and really like this one. I'm going to try it with a Caron Big Cake. I would love to make a toboggan to go with it. Any suggestions for a pattern?
