Crochet Snug As A Hug Poncho

This Crochet Snug As a Hug Poncho is sized starting at 4 years to 2 XL in women. These are two rectangular panels that are attached together to form the poncho. I'm guessing, but it appears to be the side saddle stitch used in this design. It's so well done.

This is using Glaze by Sugar Bush Yarns.

There really wasn't enough here for a semi-beginner like me to follow. I needed to see how the rectangles looked when finished because I believe I was getting a weird corner. Possibly more on the turn would have helped me figure out if I actually had it right. Also, as someone said, it would have been helpful if you demonstrated how to join the rectangles.

    Hi Mikey and Crowd,
I purchased the yarn for the next CAL" Flora " starting April 15th. It will be my first CAL. I got Caron Simply Soft in White, Ocean and Grey Heather because I like the softer yarns. I can't wait, I'm so excited! Thank you for all you do to share your knowledge and skills in crochet.

I got the pieces completed for the snug as a hug poncho but cannot see how to put the two pieces together. Thank you so much for the tutorials; I have learned so much from watching them.
