The brand new yarn called Bernat Sheepy is now available at select Michaels Stores. Don’t worry, there’s no wool, just 100% nylon.
It’s ultra-soft and swishy to the touch. Great for making those plush toys or even that super cozy baby blanket to ensure.
There are just a few colours only in this yarn line such as Cotton Tail, Bunny Brown, Baa Baa Blue, Vapour Gray and Plush Pink.
Currently, there are some patterns on the ball bands. The recommended hook and knitting needle size are 8 mm / L/11. So this means, the yarn will fill out beautifully.
If you are looking for a possible nursery featured project, stop by a Michaels Store location. You can check stock on the Michaels website or you can have it shipped to you as well. Don’t forget, Michaels does offer Curbside Pick Up to order in advance and then they can run it out to you if being in a public space is a concern during these trying times.

Never heard of this yarn until I walked into Michaels just scouting the yarn sales. There were 2 cotton tails sitting on the sale shelf. I was looking for yarn to that looked like fur and there it was. Had no idea how rare and incredible a find this was–at $3.99. I immediately got online when I got home and found it going for as much as $15/skein. It wasn’t listed online for my Michaels and all colors are out for shipping. Is that it? Sort of like retro stripes?
This yarn is FANTASTIC! I’ve made 34 blankets with Bernat Blanket yarn. This is a GREAT change and I’ve got requests already. Have attempted to find more – all out of stock both in store and on-line. What’s the plan Michaels?
I’m really not sure. You can call Michaels Corporate that’s on their website and inquire. We’ve just come out of lockdown up here in Nova Scotia, I havent’ been to a Michaels in almost 2 months. I’m unsure our location has it. Michaels Corporate would know the answer. Michaels doesn’t share the stock details with me personally to give advice. Michael

Sandra, I reviewed the article. I don’t know what pattern you are speaking about. There is no pattern there for Sheepy Baby Rug. I haven’t ever seen that pattern. I have searched our database and I don’t see any patterns listed.
You may be on the wrong website. It’s yarn is exclusive to Michael.ca or Michaels.com, maybe you meant to look there instead.
