Crochet Treasure Wave Afghan
Crochet Treasure Wave Afghan

Crochet Treasure Wave Afghan

This is an adaptation of Crochet Ocean Waves Throw. What makes this afghan different from regular ripple or chevron types is the stitches of each row. If you click 'read more' below, I have posted two more photos showing you up close. The Back Loop Double Crochets cause the afghan has to stunning visual appeal but not only having ripples, but the ripples are 3D and lifting up and down on the afghan.

Changes Made

  • Crochet Treasure Afghan Pattern
Close View of the Treasure Afghan

The pattern is the exact same as the Red Heart's Ocean Waves Throw Pattern. You can print it out or view it online to follow.

  • I used a size L or 8.0 mm, Crochet Hook, instead.
  • I used 10 balls of Red Heart Boutique Treasure. The colour I used was called Abstract.
  • I used 2 balls of Red Heart Boutique Midnight. The colour I used was called Aura.

Pattern:

  • Follow the directions as stated in the pattern using the L Size Hook Instead.
  • 10 Rows using Treasure yarn.
  • 2 rows using Midnight.
  • 10 Rows of Treasure.
  • 2 Rows of Midnight.
  • 10 Rows of Treasure.
  • 2 Rows of Midnight.
  • 10 Rows of Treasure.
  • 2 Rows of Midnight.
  • 10 Rows of Treasure.

I was able to complete this afghan in 4 days due to the larger size hook speeding me along in the process. Good Luck and enjoy your new afghan.

Tutorial

Same pattern, use L / 8 mm Crochet Hook with Red Heart Treasure yarn.

There is no option to 'read more' and I couldn't access the pattern or adaptation.
