This is a new pattern featuring Caron Chunky Cakes and introducing the From The Middle Afghan. The yarn is doing the work here, and the pattern is easy to follow.
Once you get started, the rounds are straightforward to maintain. One round is the setup round for the following set of 7 DC shells that are needed.
To complete this 58" square afghan, six balls of Plum Pudding are used, along with an 8 mm or US L/11 Crochet Hook.

We Have Four Rectangle Sizes
Each start will grow to perfect sizes. The centre length is the most critical part.

You can use this concept for any other Caron Cakes or yarn. Just ensure the hook compliments the thickness of the yarn, and you'll be good to go!

How much of the regular caron cakes yarn would I need to make this blanket since its worsted weight not super bulky?

Maybe I'm too new at this, but continuing this by the video directions has just given me an unworkably ruffled huge round "doilie" instead of the more rectangular afghan shown. Locking at the written instructions, it appears there are key steps not demonstrated in the video. Hate to think I have to pull out 2 balls of yarn and start from scratch using the written instructons now.
