A new pattern featuring Caron Chunky Cakes. Introducing the From The Middle Afghan. The yarn is doing the work here with an easy-to-follow pattern.
Once you get started, the rounds are straightforward to maintain. One round is the setup round for the following set of 7 DC shells that are needed.
To complete this afghan, which is 58" square. It uses six balls of the colour called Plum Pudding. Using an 8 mm or L Crochet Hook.
The pattern is Available At: From The Middle Afghan
You can use this concept for any other Caron Cakes or other yarn, just ensure the hook compliments the thickness of yarn and it will be good to go!

Love the look of this pattern! Hoping you can provide more instruction on making this rectangular rather than square. This won't neatly fit a child's single/twin size bed.

Maybe I'm too new at this, but continuing this by the video directions has just given me an unworkably ruffled huge round "doilie" instead of the more rectangular afghan shown. Locking at the written instructions, it appears there are key steps not demonstrated in the video. Hate to think I have to pull out 2 balls of yarn and start from scratch using the written instructons now.
