Sizes vary which takes into account the yarn, hook size and style of the blanket. Minimum 800 to 1400 yards. Colours and more will factor in the breakdown.

30″ x 38″ Granny Waves Style – 1164 yards (approx 3 balls Bernat Baby Coordinates, (140 g / 5 oz; 355 m / 388 yds)

34″ x 34″ Corner to Corner C2C Style – 812 yards (approx 1 ball Caron One Pound, 812 yards. 454 g / 16 oz, 742 m / 812 yds)

40″ x 40″ Granny Style Rectangle Blanket – 1200 yards (approx 2 balls Caron One Pound, 812 yards. 454 g / 16 oz, 742 m / 812 yds)

42″ x 42 Granny Square Motif Style 3 Colours – 1400 yards (approx 3 balls Caron One Pound, 812 yards. 454 g / 16 oz, 742 m / 812 yds)

35″ x 37″ Rectangle Granny Mile A Minute Style – 1392 yards (approx 4 balls Super Saver, 198 g /7 oz, 333 m / 364 yds)

Certain brands can go a long way, such as Caron One Pound Yarn. It’s on the thicker side of a medium #4 weight blanket.

The One Skein Baby Crochet Blanket using Caron One Pound is approximately 35″ X 34″ in size. It’s a simple stitch of mixing 1 row of single crochet. The next row is a criss-cross stitch.

Generally speaking, baby blankets with Bernat Blanket use 3 to 4 balls. The texture, hook size and density of stitches are pretty much the deciding factors. Approximately 660 – 900 yards. 

 

Granny Style – 1 big granny: 36″ x 40″ – 660 yards (approx 3 balls- 300 g/10.5 oz balls)

Cable & Texture Style – Approx 40″ x 44″ – 880 yards (approx 4 balls – 300 g/10.5 oz balls)

Corner to Corner (C2C) – Approx 41″ x 41. 730 yards. (Approx 4 balls – 300 g/10.5 oz balls)
