This afghan is 32" wide by 44" Long. This stitch is called a moss stitch, a linen stitch, or a granite stitch. It goes by three different names.

Instructions
To change the size, the stitch multiple is 16 chains + 1.
Using 2 strands of regular 4 ply worsted yarn together. In this example, both yarn balls used together are at the exact same spot in each ball. So each ball transitions to the next colour almost simultaneously. There is a slight lag of one colour; it’s still crocheted, as it’s barely noticeable. This afghan is the moss stitch done as a chevron afghan. Lagging the colour can be fun too. You can get the look below if you don't let the yarn balls have the same colour at the same time.
This afghan has 8 full chevrons.
With 2 strands held together, ch 129.
1st row: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next 5 ch, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 5 ch. 2 sc in next ch, *2 sc in next ch, sc in next 5 ch, (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 5 ch. 2 sc in next ch. Repeat * across. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st. Ch 1, (sk next st, 1 sc in next st, ch 1) twice. Sk next st, (sc2tog over next 2 sts) twice. Ch 1, (sk next st, 1 sc in next, ch 1) twice. Sk next st, 2 sc in next st. *2 sc in next st, ch 1, (sk next st, 1 sc in next, ch 1) twice. Sk next st, (sc2tog over next 2 sts) twice. Ch 1, (sk next st, sc in next, ch 1) twice. Making my 2nd one. Tutorial helped greatly as there were some errors in written pattern. "Chain 1" missing after "sc2tog" in rows 2 and 3. Might want to correct written pattern. Thanks.
