Crochet Pipeline Slouchy

This really neat hat can be worn as a beanie or as a slouchy. The hook size determines that for you.
If you would like more of a beanie fit, use a 4.0 mm or F size hook. If you would like a slouchy idea, use a 4.5 mm or size G hook.
This is using Sun City by Schachenmayr yarns. This is a free pattern. It’s available in PDF format only. You will find the pattern on stores that carry this particular yarn. This type of yarn is typically found in independent retailers.
Sun City is 50% acrylic and 50% cotton. It works up well and is a great hat idea, even for the summer.

I cannot find Schachenmayr in my area…is there another yarn that is 50/50 that can be subbed for it? I really like this pattern and want to make this hat for a friend. TIA 🙂
Hi Mikey! Love the lefty tutorial…so appreciated. Love the pattern too, though I thought I should mention in the download of the pdf from Schachenmayr, there are a couple of errors in the pattern…in the first row of the brim, they say ‘switch to Pool Blue’, but you are already working in Pool Blue…and then they have you increasing (doubling up sc’s in some stitches), which is not correct. Also the pic on the pdf doesn’t have the crab stitch finish…just causes some confusion. Thought you might want to know…I so appreciate you and your site(s)! Cheers!
I love the hats and everything you do..I’m so glad I found your group…you are extremely talented and I sure do appreciate your teaching and sharing with so many of us
Tried downloading I got nothing…
Tried to download and I have nothing…
Did you know both videos are left handed? Just above the videos it says right and left. Thought you should know!
OK, so when it refreshed, the videos are correct. Weird! Lol!
I fixed it within 15 minutes of the article being live. Your browser was probably pulling up a CACHE version of the article. Refreshing is the way to solve it. 😀
Mikey, Have been in the “Crowd” for over year. Currently, I cannot print nor download the patterns. It gives the pdf stuff, which I have, but nuttin. Help. BTW, do yo have any plans for a “Lefty” area? I tried to do a truffle and couldn’t figure the right handed instructions out. ugh. They are very pretty. xox
Hi Mikey! I’m sorry, but I can’t find the pattern on this page. The PDF only has info about the pattern. What am I doing wrong?
